Leslie Armstrong has been interested in making the most of available space since spending the summers of her youth living on a 37 foot yawl. This grew to a passionate commitment to design small and affordable housing for people unable to afford the luxury either of an architect or of large scale accommodations. She is presently updating her 1977 book, The Little House, to make the Little House more energy efficient and more practical to build. In this same spirit she frequently undertakes projects such as the renovation of this Catskill Mountain cabin.
